# Browser Extension

> PayPerFax Tracker extension for convenient fax history access

The PayPerFax Tracker browser extension provides convenient access to your fax transmission history directly in your browser toolbar. View all your past faxes in one place alongside the email confirmations you already receive.

## Extension features

## How to install

## Privacy & permissions

  **Access to payperfax.com**:

  * Detects when you submit a fax
  * Retrieves fax status updates
  * Does NOT access other websites

  **Local storage**:

  * Saves your fax history in your browser
  * Does NOT send data to external servers
  * Data stays on your computer

## Using the extension

  3. The extension icon will indicate tracking has started
  4. Click the icon to see real-time status

## Troubleshooting

    4. Reinstall the extension if issues persist

    * Browser in incognito/private mode (history won't persist)
    * Local storage disabled

## Is the extension required?

  PayPerFax provides multiple ways to track your faxes:

  1. **Submission page**: Stay on the page after submitting - it updates in real-time as your fax progresses
  2. **Email confirmations**: You always receive an email for every fax with transmission details and PDF copy
  3. **Browser extension** (optional): Centralized view of all your faxes in your browser toolbar

  The extension is a **convenience feature** for those who want:

  * Quick access to all past faxes from browser toolbar
  * Centralized history without searching emails
  * Visual status indicators and badge counts
  * Optional desktop notifications

## How to track your faxes

PayPerFax offers three complementary ways to track your fax transmissions:
